Patrice Hilton Memorial Scholarship Application

Patrice Hilton was an educator in Lincoln Parish for 46 years, from 1974-2020. She was a teacher and then principal at Hillcrest Elementary. Patrice was also a student in Lincoln Parish Schools and a graduate of Louisiana Tech University. She had a passion for teaching and was an inspiration to generations of students and teachers in Lincoln Parish during her career. Her family has founded this scholarship to support future educators with their college education.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Graduating senior from a Lincoln Parish High School in May 2025 (Choudrant High, Ruston High, Simsboro High)

2. Accepted into a 4-year university

3. Planning to pursue a degree in education (Priority will be given to education majors but if there are none, the scholarship will be awarded to a graduate of a Lincoln Parish high school.)

4. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Completed applications are due to Mrs. Henderson by Advisory on May 2nd, 2025. She will attach your transcript and submit all completed applications together.

JP Fitzmorris Memorial Scholarship: LaTech Application

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

A 2025 RHS senior with a 3.25 GPA and have been involved in athletics or spirit group and will be attending LSU or LaTech in the Fall of 2025.

Please enclose the following to complete your application:

• Scholarship application

• Essay

• Official high school transcript

• Copy of ACT scores

• (1) one letter of recommendation

Due to Mrs. Henderson on April 30th, 2025 by Advisory. She will attach your transcript and ACT score report and submit all completed applications together.

Leroy Humphries Memorial Scholarship Online Application

Criteria:

• High school senior who plans to attend Grambling State University or Louisiana Tech University

• Minimum 2.75 GPA.

Mildred D. Higgins High School Scholarship Application Portal

Criteria:

• Must be a 2025 high school graduate

• Must be enrolled as a full time student at a Louisiana Association of Student Financial Aid member institution for the 2025-2026 school year.

  This includes the following systems:

  • University of Louisiana System

  • Louisiana State University System

  • Southern University System

  • Louisiana Community and Technical Colleges System

  • LAICU/Propriety System

LaTech School of Design Scholarship Info

Criteria:

1. The scholarship applicant must be a graduating high school senior

2. Have a minimum

   3.0 GPA and already be accepted for Fall 2025 admission to Louisiana Tech University with a declared major in either Studio Art or Graphic Design.

Jump Start Construction Connect Scholars Application

Eligibility Requirements:

• Any high school senior who has a National Center for Construction Education and Research(NCCER) credential

• Will earn a Jump Start Career Diploma

• Enrolls in an LCTCS construction

  pathway program or an ABC training program in the summer or fall semester immediately

  following high school graduation.

Completed applications should be turned into Mrs. Henderson by April 20th, 2025.

Louisiana high school seniors graduating in 2025, who plan to complete a FAFSA, are eligible to register for the chance to win a $1,000 Scholarship. Winners are selected by a drawing. Winners must provide a copy of their 2025-26 FAFSA Confirmation page.
